Zophee's Privacy Policy 2025.7.4

We believe privacy policies shouldn't be confusing. So we've laid this out simply and clearly, just like everything else in Zophee... because your trust matters, and we want you to know exactly what's happening with your data.

Effective Date: July 1st, 2025.

This policy explains what data Zophee collects, how we use it, and your rights.

1. What We Collect

We collect certain information to help you build a consistent, rewarding habit. This includes:

  • Basic account info (e.g., email, age, language, and platform)
  • Progress indicators (e.g., sessions completed, Steps, Cadence Trail Days, favorite sessions)
  • Engagement insights (e.g., whether notifications and reminders are active, feedback and sharing activity)

We use this data to improve your experience and identify ways we can better support you if your momentum stalls. We never sell your data.

2. How We Use It

  • To provide and personalize your experience
  • To tailor features and content based on your general preferences and language settings
  • Our goal is to help you build a habit that brings clarity, focus, and growth. To support that, we may ask you to enable notifications, create a widget, or allow email reminders. This is always with your consent, and always to help you stay on track.

3. Health Information

Zophee does not collect or store any health-related data. Your experience is designed to support clarity and focus without requiring personal health inputs.

4. Sharing Data

We do not knowingly collect or store data from anyone under 18. If we become aware of such data, we'll delete it immediately.

We share data only with trusted service providers who help operate Zophee (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, and email tools). These providers only access the data they need and are required to handle it securely. We do not sell your data.

While we don't plan to include third-party advertising in the app, Zophee is designed to be sustainable through subscriptions, we're being transparent in case that ever changes. If we need to introduce ads to keep the app alive, we may work with partners like Google to serve them. This could involve sharing limited data (such as device ID or usage behavior) for ad personalization, which certain laws might define as a "sale" or "sharing" of data.

If that ever happens, you will have full control: we'll give you clear settings to opt out of any personalized ads, and we'll update this policy accordingly.

5. Your Rights

  • You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.
  • You may opt out of marketing emails anytime.

6. Tracking Technologies

Zophee does not use cookies. However, we may use secure in-app analytics tools to understand general usage patterns. These tools help us improve your experience and ensure the app is working as intended. You can manage certain permissions, such as notifications and reminders, directly in your app settings.

7. International Users

If you are outside the U.S., your data may be transferred and processed in the U.S. By using Zophee, you consent to this transfer.

8. Security & Compliance

We keep your data only as long as necessary to support your experience or meet legal requirements. If you delete your account, we remove your data within a reasonable period.

To keep your information secure, we've added several layers of protection:

  • App and Database Encryption: We use AES-256, a strong encryption standard, to secure your data. We use RSA keys to safely exchange encryption keys.
  • Data in Transit: Any data moving between your device and our servers is protected using TLS (Transport Layer Security), similar to what banks use.
  • API Security: Our app communicates through a secure REST API that's encrypted with TLS to protect all data exchanges.

These steps help ensure your data stays safe whether it's stored, moving, or being used.

9. Contact Us

If you have questions or concerns about this policy or just want to say hello, reach us anytime at hello@zophee.app. We're here to support you.

Need this policy in a different format? Email us and we'll do our best to help.
